Each year Not A Glum Lot visits Bear Mountain for Thanksgiving dinner at the majestic Bear Mountain Inn. Come join fellow NAGLers for this festive day trip, it's gonna be so sweet!

  • $47 (plus tax and tip) for Adults and $25 for Kids
  • Initial Registration fee is $30.00

  • NAGL Van: Departing 9:30am from St. Anthony Church 155 Sullivan St at Houston *Cost is dependent on number of participants.

  • Depart NYC: 8:45am or 11:15am
  • Depart Bear Mountain: 3:19pm or 5:19pm

Optional Overnight Stay:

All overnight reservations must be made by participants. Stone Lodges are just off the lake and include a living room fireplace. The Overlook Lodge is ideal for friends looking to room together as these have separate beds, while the Stone Lodges are best for couples or REALLY close friends as they've only include 1 queen size bed. Overlook Lodge and Stone Cottages (1 queen size bed per room.)

Come join us for this gala event!

Every year NAGL reserves a number of tables at New York Intergroup's annual celebration of co-founder Bill W's sobriety. This gala, held at the Grand Ballroom of the New York Hilton, is a lot of fun. Get dressed up in your finest outfit for a three-speaker meeting, followed by dinner, and then a DJ dance party till 2 AM. We hope you can join us!

Also, it's for a good cause, NY intergroup's only fundraiser, so if you have ever looked up a meeting or called them or received literature or attended a meeting in an institution, you can appreciate the importance of sustaining their operating expenses.

On Friday, October 20th,  Not a Glum Lot will be hosting a group theater trip to see the British play about recovery called People, Places and Things. The play was sold out for 1 year in London, and won two Olivier awards. We will be seeing the show followed by a private talkback with cast and crew afterward. Tickets are priced at a reduced rate of $32.50 and are limited to 2 per person.

Weekly NAGL AA Meeting Location & Time Change: Saturdays 6:30pm

We are super excited to announce that we have found an amazing new space. Same day, Saturdays, but the time will change to 6:30pm. This is a straight up AA Meeting (as opposed to a Not a Glum Lot business or trip planning meeting.) It's a great place to reconnect with folks from the trips or just to get a solid meeting in. All are welcome, please help us to spread the word!
